Jarkko clinched his 300th career victory

Jarkko Nieminen notched his 300th career victory on Tuesday August 2, 2011 in Washington by defeating Igor Kunitsyn 7-5, 6-4. Jarkko turned pro in 2000, and has finished inside the Top 100 for 10 consecutive seasons. His highest ranking so far has been No. 13 on July 10, 2006. Jarkko has advanced to 10 ATP World Tour finals, winning the title at Auckland in 2006.

Jarkko mentions his 300th career victory also in his blog entry: "I was told after the match yesterday that the win was my 300th win (in singles) on the ATP Tour (101 on the Challenger level and 32 on the Future level. I guess there are no statistics of the wins in junior years, they must be impossible to get. I competed the first time when I was 7 years old). 300 wins on the Tour has obviously never been a specific goal for me but anyway, it feels very nice to achieve that kind of a milestone."
