Jarkko voted as the Role Model of the year
Jarkko Nieminen has been voted as the Role Model of the year at the Finnish Sports Gala. The aim of this annual festive Gala is to raise the appreciation of Finnish sports. The Role Model of the year is respected nomination for an athlete, who is a sporty example for all Finnish people and especially for the young athletes.
"I'm very honored and glad to get this award. There were other great nominees for getting the award and it means a lot to me that I was the chosen one. I'll try to be as good role model as I can in the future as well. Thanks again to the voters and everyone who has supported me. Special thanks to my parents who taught me the values of life.", says Jarkko after receiving the award.
